The Story Behind the Photo: I was with several conservation colleagues at a rescue center in Nosara, Costa Rica. We were scouting the transfer of a rescued spider monkey to be placed at their facility as its forever home. As we were walking the sanctuary, something fell from the treetops. I looked up, and to my surprise, this curious coati was peering down at me from the treetops. I was lucky enough to have my 400m lens in hand and snapped this photo of him with blooming flowers in the background.
