Hey, reader, my name is Zara Palmer. I was born and raised in a small town called Clark Fork in the Northern Panhandle of Idaho. With a population of 530 people, you quickly learn the pros and cons of being raised in such a tight-knit community. Clark Fork could very well be the inspiration behind Journey’s “Small Town Girl,” - but all jokes aside, I am proud to have come from the great wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. Nature has always been a constant source of teaching for me, especially when showing me the importance of imagination and staying curious about the wild world.

In 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Lewis-Clark State College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Soon after obtaining my degree, I was on a plane heading to Costa Rica to fulfill a lifelong dream to save the toucan and volunteer at a wildlife rescue center in Costa Rica called Toucan Rescue Ranch. Little did I know, this began my love affair with international travel and wildlife conservation. All of which led me to develop a deep understanding of the impact of cause-marketing.
Fast-forward to today - I am based in Costa Rica, working as the marketing expert for grassroots non-profits and startups. I am motivated and inspired to utilize my knowledge, extensive network, and experience to help other small businesses, conservation projects, and entrepreneurs with their marketing efforts.
Thus, Zarpal Media was born!
